celebrating 10 years in detroit with you

Thank you friends for a decade full of memories

AN ALTAR, A TEMPLE TO THE DREAM

As a nomad on this highway, it’s about riding into the unknown, believing in the adventure and reveling in the journey. Each step offers a new memory or friend. Eldorado is the Lost City of Gold. The Dream. The Holy Grail you spend a lifetime seeking. Coated in gold dust, Eldorado represents the relentless search for true love, freedom, heaven, and happiness.

It’s for the believers in the magic all around us.

FREEDOM AND FINDING THE SOURCE SINCE 2013

Firmly rooted in Corktown Detroit since 2013, Eldorado General Store is a triangle shaped 1870’s flat iron brick and mortar boutique that houses the treasures from the road to Eldorado.

Opening the year the city of Detroit announced bankruptcy, it’s humbling to be celebrating the 10th holiday season and decade-long adventure in Detroit.

Owner Erin Gavle and her husband Chris Miele travel the countrysides, geographically curating a vibe of freedom - direct from the source.

Locally made items, vintage clothing, accessories, trinkets, crystals, handmade jewelry, candles, tarot books, antiques, herbal plant offerings, altar items, and apothecary fill this sun drenched shop.

As a mission based business, the shelves are stocked with local artists, minority/womxn small business owners, indigenous artists, non-proftis, and fair-trade companies that practice sustainable and eco forward practices.

Built on the spirit of revival and backed by the strength of its community, Eldorado is a gathering space for dreamers and draws people from as close as across the street and as far as the other side of the world.  It’s an art project built to engage and connect its community in hopes to make positive change, spark thought and inspiration.

Wander in. Stay awhile. Join us on this road to Eldorado.
