Now that spring is here, welcome the season with your own incense! Learn a bit about the art and history of incense, and how to make your own.
Sfumato is a Detroit fragrance company formed by husband and wife Kevin and Jane. Kevin is the Nose, with a background in combustion science. Jane is the Eyes, with a background in art and design, creating the brand's digital and analog aesthetic. Their natural fragrances are all made with 100% plant essential oils. The word "sfumato" means "turned to smoke", so a workshop about incense makes perfect sense.
Participants will be provided with everything needed to make and leave with 5-10 incense cones with a scent blend of their choosing. Feel free to bring an oil or two if you have a favorite at home.
Wine and refreshments will be served.
