FROM THE ARTIST:
This illustration “Subida De La Luna”, translated to Moon Rise, was inspired by the rising tide of strong women taking leadership roles in their communities. Helping to bring back more balance within the predominantly masculine-driven society we live in today.

Agility, diversity, and strength are represented by the three subjects in this piece. The cross axis lines representing vision and clear perception. This is the original illustration which was the basis for a 41ft x 55ft mural I did in Corktown, Detroit. I was commissioned by Eldorado General Store which resides in the historic building which the mural is on, and stands as a landmark for the community in a quickly developing area of Detroit.

BIG LUV to Erin & Chris for collaborating to make this project a reality. Much respect to what these two are striving to accomplish in this raw / wild city that is finally coming back to life after being left to ruin for decades. Glimmers of light, art and inspiration are rising in this city and I am grateful to have contributed a small part in this change.
